Bone Made
Earthy, sophisticated, timeless
Founded by sisters-in-law Leah and Fliss Pitman from their Northern Beaches studio, Bone Made creates interiors defined by materiality, restraint and a deep understanding of how people want to feel at home. Their work spans residences across Sydney and beyond – from Californian bungalows to coastal retreats to inner-city terraces – each one layered with warmth, texture and a sense that nothing has been overworked.

For years, BEDSaHEAD has been the quiet force behind the bedrooms of interior designers, decorators, architects and discerning homeowners across Australia. Every piece leaves our workshop hand-upholstered – no shortcuts, no overseas flat-packs. Just skilled tradespeople, premium materials and a standard that only comes from caring deeply about the work.

The Conversation
Two Studios, One Idea
BEDSaHEAD and Bone Made started talking about what it would mean to merge Bone Made’s design language with BEDSaHEAD’s manufacturing rigour.
The brief was simple: make five bedheads that couldn’t exist without both of them.
The Concept
The Eras
Leah and Fliss drew on eight years of Bone Made’s creative evolution to shape five distinct characters from the clean restraint of Elle, to the art deco boldness of Jean, the sweeping scale of Agnes, the bold organic shape of Paloma and architectural striping of Willow.

Bone Made sourced fabrics from the same suppliers they trust on client projects – Schumacher, James Malone, James Dunlop and Walter G. Each fabric was matched to a specific design, not selected from a generic swatch book.

Clean-Lined And Quietly Refined - A Timeless Silhouette That Settles Into Any Room With Ease.
Clean-lined, simple and humble, Ellery is a timeless bedhead built for longevity. Refined detailing and a versatile form make it endlessly adaptable, while a neutral, subdued palette lets it sit within any scheme. Ivory Zepel fabric meets a subtly bold Walter G Textiles layer, finished with brown leather piping from Warwick.
Agnes
Tailored, Angular, Unapologetically Bold - Agnes Is The Hero Piece Of The Bedroom.
Strong, masculine and powerful, Agnes is Bone Made’s hero piece – tailored, angular and refined, echoing the ‘M’ in our logo. Soft upholstery pairs with an exposed timber frame for structure and definition. An earthy, bold striped Schumacher fabric sits atop a walnut-stained curved frame, drawing out burnt orange, browns and beiges.
Jean
A Little Retro, A Little Daring - Jean Brings Art Deco Glamour Back Into The Bedroom.
Jean is a feeling of stepping back in time – art deco inspired, retro, timeless yet bold. Bubbly, playful and daring, its curved form channels Bone Made’s heritage era. A mocha-toned velvet-style fabric by Warwick Fabrics evokes nostalgia, paired with simple ivory Zepel piping that lets Jean’s striking silhouette shine.
Willow
Romantic In Form, Striking In Scale — Willow Is Designed To Make An Entrance.
Romantic in form and striking in scale, Willow is designed to make an entrance. Her soft, sweeping curves are balanced by strong linear detailing – feminine, expressive, impossible to overlook. A bold striped James Malone fabric gives her structure and unexpected edge, gently highlighted by a simple black piping.
Paloma
Bold, Organic, Luxurious - Paloma Is Designed To Push The Boundaries.
Bold, organic and luxurious, Paloma steps outside the ordinary. Free-flowing, layered and textured, it’s an earthy, statement design reflecting our natural-finish, coastal-inspired projects. A lustrous sage green velvet from Schumacher Fabrics is elevated with a custom-made caterpillar fringing, adding unique texture to this wide, generously scaled form.
